Please help with upgrade

I try reading this stuff for days, then I break down and just ask. You guys convinced me to go X1 for my first projector, and I've been happy with it. But, it's time for something new. I watch 99% Dish SD, so assume DCDI is a main requirement. I would like a similar throw as my X1, but shorter would work. I have a dark room, but with white ceiling, carpet, and walls. Can I do any better than the X1 for $1500 or less? Thanks.

Sounds to me you should stay with the X1. If you threw in some DVD watching and HDTV into the mix you could consider the Infocus 4805 which is 16:9 native with Faroudja for under $1500.


A new bulb and color wheel cleaning can bring some new life to your X1.
