It all worked out for me. In case anyone else searches this topic, he's how it went. This is for the Peerless PT 660. There is a small screw at the top of the bracket that's mounted to the tv. It must be backed out for the tilt to work. I never figured out how to adjust the tilt using that screw. The handle screw on the middle of the bracket is what I used for a custom tilt. However, I couldn't get it to work until the tv was mounted and the safety screws (on the bottom of the bracket) were tightened. My big hangup seems to have been that I was trying to adjust the tilt and lock it before I mounted the tv. I don't know that you can't do that, but it was a problem for me. Hope this helps anyone else searching this topic.
