Please help I'm going crazy trying get a great picture, I play in a very dark room.

I have a Xbox 360 Elite/add on HD DVD player hdmi and an Panasonic plasma TH42PZ77U. On the Elite settings I'm not sure what reference level to use (standard,Intermediate,or expanded) Not sure what hdmi color space to use.

Not sure on the right picture settings for the tv while gaming. (vivid-standard-cinema-custom)


If anyone has had this model professional calibrated for gaming can you please share the settings... Please share all advice on this model.

I would set HDMI to ypbpr.


On Panasonics, "cinema" mode is usually the best bet because the others have serious problems with noise. Cinema is unfortunately also the dimmest, and the pz77 is a notoriously dim set.
