Philips SPD7000BD would be a good choice. Future firmware updates would allow BR dual layer burning (50 GB). Also, Philips/Benq are known to be good, reliable burners. There's a good deal on Tiger Direct.
It seems like most people on the forums have had good luck with the Sony BWU-100A. Refurbs on Overstock are going for $400.
