Just finished setting up my DISH 500 and DISH 6000. I am about to set up the 2nd 18" dish for the HD bird. I have he SW-21 switch. How do I know when setting up that I got the signal for the 148 HD bird?

Also, right now, I can see CBS, but is that the CBS-HD or not? Are there two CBS channels and the other one, I can only see if I have the 2nd dish pointing to 148? Just like seeing the demo channel?

thanks

Disconnect the 500 from the 6000, and hook the 148 dish directly to the 6000 (NO SW21). Aim the dish at the 148 bird with this configuration. Then insert SW21 into the system, with the Dish 500 output connected to SW21 #1 input (use only one Dish 500 output, the other is unused). The 148 dish is connected t SW21 input #2. Run the "switch test" on the setup menu and you should get all 3 birds.

Is is not CBS-HD, it is one of the CBS-SD feeds. The CBS-HD west coast feed is only on 148; the CBS-HD east coast feed is only on 61.5

You have a right to install OTA and dish antennas on property under your control.
