Finally got around to taking pictures of my home theater set up. Used to be messy with alot of cables and a makeshift table for the htpc but eventually moved everything neatly into a cabinet.

Future:
Nothing in the plans yet...upgradinitis mightve been cured...
Past:
The Samsung Era: My first step into Home Theatre2005-2011
HTPC connected to a Samsung HTQ-45 HTIB
I always wanted to set up a decent home theater but didn't want to jump the gun when I bought my first plasma in 05 since I had barely any knowledge on theater stuff! So I started off with the samsung htib with a Popcorn Hour A-110
BEFORE. Messy yes...interim solution
This photo was taken in the summer of 2011. By then my Samsung HTQ-45 had given me over 5 years of great service. I originally bought it from bestbuy when I bought my first ever big screen TV which was a Philips Ambilight 50 inch model. Thats the infamous 5 year tv that suffers from poor capacitors. Tried repairing it but failed and had to dump it and replace with the current samsung plasma.
Anyways back to the HTQ-45. I remember when I first bought it home I felt like i was on top of the world! It was my first intro to 5.1 sound and I loved it!
I knew I was going to upgrade eventually but time went by and I kept telling myself how pleased I was with it. It was supposed to be upgraded by 2008 but instead it outlasted till 2011.
Today I now use it as a bedroom system and its also jerry rigged to my alarm clock. Talk about a 5.1 alarm clock lol
Denon HTIB era: Short lived July 2011-The end of July...upgradanitis
Recently decided to upgrade the equipment after 5 happy years with my samsung htib
Using a
HTPC connected to a Denon AVR 1611
about 5tb of actual storage and 3tb of back up capability (thru a media sonic enclosure)
The speakers are the ones that came with the Denon DHT htibs. Soon gonna upgrade.
I browse my collection through MediaPortal/StreamMP Skin/Moving Pictures plugin
concessions + HTPC + TRON HARD DRIVE (seagate that looks tron like to me) + Hard Drives + Dvds + Karaoke Mics
Transferring data from the netbook to the enclosure (you can see it on the bottom
TV plus speakers
Seats + Rear speakers
subwoofer

Martin Logan MLT-2 Era/the advent of 6.2 End of July 2011-December 27, 2011
Amazingly I barely took any pics of the actual setup
During this phase I also added a Outlaw LFM-1 EX and used my old center from the denon for a 6.2 set up. Wanted to do 7.2 but my room didn't work well with it. Plus the WAF wouldn't agree on it.
The Energy RC-10 Era!December 27, 2011 - March 20, 2012
Been cured of upgradinitis! for now...
Just recently bought the RC-10s along with the V-Mini center. EXTREMELY pleased with them
Can't wait to finish breaking them in.
I also finally took off the grills for all the speakers and amazingly the WAF has been positive
. Now using my old MLT-2 center for the 6th speaker.
Some scene from black hawk down
I also always wanted to get rid of the vibrations from my outlaw so I decided to try a simple DIY instead of purchasing a subdude.
Used 4 sanding sponges from Home depot. It also raised the sub a little bit and overall the sound quality seems better

Little cheesy intro i made with mspaint before movies play
The Energy RC-10 Era! + RC LCRMarch 20, 2012 - I DONT KNOW
Replaced the V-Mini Center with an RC LCR. Wasn't pleased with the performance I was getting so the upgrade was necessary!
Also added a second LFM-1EX (not pictured) which is only temporary and will be placed in my dedicated theater once I get going with that
Atlantic Technology 450e THX eraApril 4th 2012 - ?
Recently bought the front 3 speakers that make up the AT 450e THX set from a good friend. Yea I know I barely had the Energy RC-LCR for week
. He came over and helped set it up and damn does it sound good! Don't think I'll be upgrading this room anymore as I am now saving money towards a dedicated room.
Also forgot to add that I replaced the paradigm PDR-10 with a Boston Acoustics VR2000 which is powered by a Behringer EP2500.
Thanks for reading! Hope you like it!
