Hi Screen Forum,

I am searching for a screen with following characteristics:

- scattering

- screen should not depolarize (linear or cirular polarizised light should remain)!!

- high gain

- high throughput

Has anybody out there experience with laser speckle/granularity reduction.

Thank you

Ben,

Hmmm, scattering and high gain are usually not found together... How much scatter are you looking for?

In my experience, most rear projection screens should be OK for polarized light (i.e. they don't affect polarization). Only very high gain (reflective) front projection screens will maintain polarization.

It sounds like a high grain rear-projection screen is best for you. How high a throughput are you looking for?

Some more info on the application would be helpful.

Polarization is lost to some extent when projected through a rear projection screen. It varies from supplier to supplier.

Only metallic screen surfaces will maintain polarization. This means that the surface coating must consist of aluminum, magnesium, silver, and so on.
