i bought a 5.1 set of polk audio speakers , connecting the speakers is easy 2 lines BUT when i looked to the back of the sub i was confused ! what kind of wire should i use ? and connect it to where and from witch point ? and really i wasn't expecting it must be supplied with its own power , does the other speakers should be connected to power source too or they will get it from the av receiver ? please advice before i make a mistake and explode my receiver or speakers.

The Polk will need it;s own power, as it is a powered sub with an amplifier built into it.

If your receiver has a sub out, then you will need to pick up a subwoofer cable (check monoprice) which looks much like an RCA cable with just one end. The other option is that the sub also has speaker inputs, in which case you can connect the speaker wires from your receivers sub out put to those.
