I bought mine a year ago in a combo package, the 705's and Yamaha RX-A2070 for $1699 shipped. I bought the combo with intent to sell the Polks. That was the plan, but I got caught in a moment of weakness after a few months, and unpacked the Polks and put them in place of the Song Towers for a good listen. It was a very pleasant surprise, I left them in place for 3-4 months, these things rock! I do have them for sale in the classifieds but if I never sell them I won't cry about it. Who doesn't need 3-4 pairs of great sounding speaker? Besides the Polks and Song Towers, I have a pair of Salk Surround One's in the bedroom, and a pair of vintage Acoustic Research AR2ax (1969) that I recapped and refurbed the walnut finish. I should get a nice tube amp to drive them, very nice sounding vintage speakers IMO.



The packaging by Polk made shipping them impossible, since the packing didn't survive the unpacking. Well packed, but not reusable, so keep that in mind.



The Yamaha 2070 alone was nearly worth the price, IMO. I love my Yamaha gear, they will be used until they die, and I expect that to be a very long time.



At the current sale for $400 per speaker with free shipping? Yeah, a no-brainer for sure! Anyone looking for a huge bang-for-the-buck speakers need to take a serious look at these LSiM series speakers.
