what one is better for the money


polk monitor 30

or

energy c-100


i can get them both for $100 (wich is what i would like to spend) and unfournatly i can not go test any of them in store

also im not worried how much bass they can produce as i have a sub


the polks come from newegg.com and the energys from audio adviser.com

Flip a coin.


That gives you the greatest chance of picking the right one. Listening to us will be no better as Polk and Energy fans will pick their company. I would really try to listen to them. Outside of that it is a guess.


Buy them both and listen to them both if possible (at the same time). Can you do that?

unfourtunatly no i can not, wish i could though

if it helps at all they will be set up in a 2.1 stereo setup for my 13x13 bedroom

They have very similar stats. That means nothing though. They will both sound different.


Flip a coin and go with that, seriously.

Energy has better build quality, looks better to me with gloss black front baffle and includes foam rear port plugs if you plan to place close to wall.


As far as sound quality you'll have to decide. The Polk will sound brighter, Energy more neutral. The Polk has a built in keyhole wall mount.


You can find a similar sounding Polk at Best buy by looking at the TS100.
