I can't vote because I haven't had a failure. I had over 2700 hrs on the first bulb when I changed it and currently have 1350 on the second one. Maybe I've just been lucky. I usually leave the projector on all evening and use it for a TV. I come and go but I have left it on for hours when noone was watching it. It stays on so much I tend to forget about it. Of course this means the on/off repetitions per hour of use is much less than many other Dwin owners.

I also use mine as a TV and have over 1600 hrs in 14 months. Agree with Randall regarding on/off cycles!

This poll may be a bit biased because it asks about replacing lamps that have failed, leaving out out all the lamps that haven't failed, either because they are still going strong or because the lamp was replaced when it became noticeably dimmer, but still working. I tend to replace the lamps in my store displays in the 1800 to 2200 hour range because the picture is dimmer and a bit blue.

I think a "still working after 2000 hrs" choice would be appropriate.

O.K., I voted once for my first replacement; but now, due to a lockout, I can't vote again to report on the next two bulbs!! ("One vote for each lamp replacement")

Yup. Mine crapped out on me in the 800-1200 group. It had about 900 hours on it and then it wouldn't fire up.

And just to rain on other people's parade, I too did the "leave it on until bed time" routine, and look how far it got me! I wasn't an every day watcher either. When I am going to watch something, I turn it on when I get home from work, watch some TV/Movies and go to bed. It's usually on for about 5 hours on evenings like this. It's on all day Sunday for football (through evening game too!) and on for several hours on Saturdays (if I'm home).
