recently, the programming guide information vanished off of my DST300. Up until last week I had both DTV (sat), and OTA programming info. But now both are missing. The OTA says 'Regular programming', and the SAT says 'To be announced'. Is there any way to force an update to get this back? Is anyone else having trouble?

I had this problem a couple of times in the past.

Looks like you lost connectivity for sat 101 when

the Guide was being downloaded. You will need to

force a manual download of the Program Guide.

I think you could trick the receiver to download the

Guide without unpluging it. You could try changing the

Dish type to something else. And cancel the guide update.

Then change it back to Dish2 type. Wait until the guide

gets updated.

NOTE: The lost of connectivity could be many reasons.

For me, it was because I turned on a 22 watt flourecent

lamp in an upstair room near the dish.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. this helped a lot. I got my programming guide info back, but it seems to be a bit tricky to get my channel lists back in order for the OTA. There seems to be a preferred order of things on the DST3000 to get back to where I was. I 're- aquired' the programming guide, then I had to rescan the OTA channels, then setup the channel lists on the OTA setup, then setup my channel lists.

If you use my trick, you should not have to rescan your OTA

channels. At least I did not have to. What did bother me

after doing this is my favorite channels now have the OTA

that I filtered out. Like the OTA channels [thru DirecTV]

that is mapped to your OTA channels.
