Hey guys, wondering if the following is possible.
I would like to use my HTPC as my sole source for movies/music and skip out on my pre/pro. In other words for music and movies the flow would go: HTPC ---> Amps ----> Speakers?
Is it possible to internally route the sound from say (WMC/TMT) through the sound card as analog?
Taking it a step further what if I wanted my front (L/R) active, so if they were three ways i would require a 9 channel amp for a 5.1 setup. For this I would have to route the sound internally from WMC/TMT to a program that can handle the active/drc (i.e. frequency allocator) then to the soundcard while the other channels would go straight to the sound card (sounds like I would have a delay issue).
Thoughts/Feelings?
