Post Katrina Media/Entertainment Room

This project was delayed a couple months by the storm, but I'm getting close now! Thought I would post a few pics to show it off.


I built an enclosure for the screen, which (when complete) will double as an entertainment center when the screen (electric) is raised. I got the 92x52 da-lite electric screen and mounted it behind the header of the enclosure, so the screen is completely hidden when up. I framed in the opening with 3.5" fluted molding.


I installed 12 recessed eyeball lights for lighting, which is great because it makes a great effect (hard to see in pictures) and provides indirect lighting that doesn't effect the screen (much).


I also put a bar in there, so the room is multi-purpose.


This is a converted 2-car garage, approx 20x20
