Hey guys. Fell free to post the photos of your camcorder (any brand) or camcorder's accessories (video light, wide angle lens, camcorder bag, bracket, etc.) here. You can discuss about the posted camcorder or accessories if you like. You can use ImageShack, Flickr or others to upload and link your camcorder photos in this thread.

I'm still using Sony DCR-SR65E which is a SD camcorder that I bought in 2008. I attached 62mm petal lens hood and "L" shaped video light bracket on my camcorder. No budget for new HD camcorder yet. How about yours?

@ i6pwr:

Nice camcorder you got there, especially with the mic and sock. I bought a ECM-HST1 mic which looks very similar to the ECM-HQP1 from a eBay seller. Unfortunately the seller sent to wrong address. I got my money back though.

That must be a pro video camera. The body itself is fancy enough...lol

@ eiker_ir

U got a sick camcorder and accessories man. Would be cool if you can show us your HF21 with some of those accessories attached.

CN-160 aka Pro-160 LED video light that I bought few half year ago. I was surprised this light able to output bright light. The light is dimmable too. It is powered by 6 AA batteries or Sony/Panasonic camcorder battery.

@jogiba:

I prefer to shoot video with camcorder rather than DSLR. Aside from the shallow DOF a DSLR can produce, I'm not sure what else is the advantages of a DSLR. My Sony A550 DSLR doesn't has a video recording capability so I don't have the chance to shoot video.

What type of external mic you are using? Is it a gun zoom mic and is it heavy? I just bought a Sony stereo mic and will post a pic soon.

Nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

Yeah but the Panasonic TM700 is the best. Everyone knows that. Just read all the reviews and see the videos posted on youtube. Everyone on this forum talks about and praises the Panasonic. No one here uses an ari. You can take the panasonic out of the box as is without having to add all the accessories the arri needs. The Panasonic can record for hours, not minutes like the ari. What am I going to do, tell my daughter's soccer team to stop what they are doing so I can swap out another card for the ari ?

And when it comes to audio, I can use a mic with a simple connection and easily get the mic at walmart, not the complicated lrx connection that I have to go to a specialty store for.

With the Panasonic I can do everything with one lens. Not the arri. With the ari I have to buy and use a separate lens for each shot and the autofocus sucks.

just to be clear, I wasn't actually serious.

Most of my shooting is done on a GH1 which is excellent for low light with the extremely sharp 20mm lens but unfortunately I don't find it as good as using the TM700 for shooting in situation that has plenty of lighting. That's why I have to get both the GH2 and the TM700. I still wish Panasonic would hurry up and release the TM750 version to the US with the better stabilizer but for sure they're trying to push 3D with the SDT750 since it'll help sell 3D TVs. It's great for people who wants 3D but unfortunately it increases the price of the camcorder by a significant amount for the people who isn't interested in 3D.

At least the price of the SDT750 seam to be getting lower.
http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-HDC-...1583176&sr=8-1

$1,297.26

I'd get it if I feel I can easily sell the 3D lens for $500 which would make the DST750 cost around $800 which wouldn't be bad except for the part about me being very tempted to try the 3D lens before I sell it which would decrease the value.

I paid about $39, plus $7 for shipping. It can be purchased at the Sony Parts & Accessory site here . The hood is meant for the HDR-HC1 cam, but it fits my XR500v after the tabs were removed.

Alright. The original lens hood looks nicer than the generic hoods from eBay. The HXR-MC50 rectangular lens hood also looks very nice. Can't access the website though.
