Hi all.

In the final legs of my HT project.

I would like to put up some Movie posters and wanted too see if anyone can reccommend a good Movie Poster company and also see if anyone knows where you can get nice frames at a decent price. The frames don't have to be high end but I'd like them to look nice.

I've looked at Allposter.com and movieposters.com and they both have a good selection of posters but wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with any of the vendors and suggestions on which to use.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I am in the same stage as you and just ordered 3 frames from Htmarket.

On the poster side do you want reprints or originals? I personally wanted originals. You can pick up originals for under $100 very easily. Check out

nostalgia.com, cinemamasterpieces.com ( do a search for movie one sheets)

Just do a search of your favorite movies. I picked up two advance posters last week. Saving private ryan $45 and Empire strikes back $85. Not bad for original advance one sheets.

Now I am on the search for a "right stuff" advance and maybe a "revenge of the jedi". Now I am hooked!!!:D

I recently did some shopping for just this thing - I wanted movie posters though I did decide to go for the smaller "mini-poster" or "masterprint" type of poster for my project.

Allposters.com has been a good source for me in the past. They run promotions fairly often - sign up for their mailing list to be notified. I'm aware that art.com seems to be another good online vendor of prints.

Alternatively, during my recent shopping, I found that there are quite a few good Ebay vendors out there that specialize in movie posters. The two I recently used for my project are:

Moving Image Posters
Movie Goods

Additionally EBay has plenty of other reputable dealers and individuals reselling their personal items.

Regarding frames, I found that Michael's had a nice assortment of frames at all sizes, for most budgets. While there were less expensive frames than I got, I settled on the "Trendsetter" frames for the movie prints I purchased. I found they had a nice feel and the price was right, though it wasn't their least expensive line of frames. The 30% off on the Trendsetter line last week didn't hurt either. :)

Hi Tom,

I've ordered all my posters on movieposter.com

The quality of the posters is amazing and the care they take in making the package strong is great! I never got any damaged poster. Posters aren't too expensive. Only the shipping costs are a bit high.

Hope I helped you out a bit!

Good luck!

Tom,

If you aren't looking for original movie prints (Don't mind reprints) I highly recommend dealing with an eBayer named "Believe In Movies". You can google or search eBay for his store. (His prices went up since I bought from him last, but still not bad).

Also, for frames, I just ordered from Spotlight Displays (on ebay and at www.spotlightdisplays.com ). Robert is a reputable man and I know people who are very happy with their purchase. When my frames show up tomorrow I expect to be happy too. (Downside: $70 shipped per frame).

I got two of those frames from Spotlight a year ago. I love them. And recommend them to anyone who wants a nice frame.

In my small room I have opted for the 11 x 17 size (so I can get 2 - 3 in versus 1 herkin poster) and liked the selection at art.com

I was amazed at the speed of the shipment as well. I will buy from there again.
