Hello everyone!

I currently support HD-DVD via the HD-A1 and am looking into getting into Blu-Ray with the BDP-S1. The main reason I'm looking at the BDP-S1 is mainly because I'm a huge Sony person (always loved Sony products. Very reliable).

This week BBY is offering 2 free discs and 3 yrs 0% interest on HT Purchases $999.99 and up. Obviously that's tempting me to make the move.

My question is I currently have an older 5.1 Sony Receiver that I'm using for my HD-A1. I'll need an HDMI switcher (no biggie), but I want to be sure that I'll be able to receive surround sound out of both machines. How would I go about doing this? (I'm not the biggest HT guy but I'm slowly learning.)

If any of this sounds a bit confusing, LMK and I'll try to clarify.

Thanks for any assistance!

If the receiver has hdmi inputs you will be fine. If it doesnt then you could use the player to decode and then run analog to the receiver (5.1 or 7.1)
