I'm wanting to add a power amp to run a pair of b&w Cm9

I'm thinking either a Rotel RB-1582 or two audiolab 8200mb monoblock

the rotel is 2x200watt and the audiolab is 1x250watt

opinions?

The Audiolabs are basically Tag 250W monoblocs. I'd rate old Audiolabs (before Tag and Tag poweramps) better than Rotel. New Audiolabs not as good as the old ones, or Tag.

Had several Audiolabs myself, 60W, 100W.

They are both pretty good amplifiers.

IMO the Musical Fidelity M6PRX is better-sounding, however, if that is in your price range. It is $3500.

I recently bought one and love it.

I am using it with an Audio Research LS26 preamp and Vandersteen Treo speakers.
