I'm not sure why ups' wouldn't go with crt's...a good way to go is the ups backups 500 pro (note the pro) which has low voltage and overvoltage protection - puts out close to 120 all the time. I have one on my lcd projector, and others on my replay tvs and my pc's. You can get it for about $109 at buy.com - but you have to look. For some reason, they have 2 listed, slightly different though I can't tell what the difference is. One is like 159, one is 109.
