Power DVD on the AE700 - Question

I'm running a Panasonic AE700 from a HTPC using Rage Tweak 3D with a custom resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels.

The projector is set using 'Auto' setup which automaticaly calibrates the desktop position, phase and dot clock. I have run some simple tests and pixel to pixel mapping appears to be working fine.


I mostly use Power DVD as my DVD player.


I've noticed that many times when I expand the Power DVD video window to 'fill the screen' , the picture expands but does not fully reach the left and right corner of the desktop.

There appears to be a slight black border on the left and right hand side of the image.


This happens on films regardless of aspect ratio of 1.85 : 1 or 2.35: 1 and all these films are anamorphic, so this is not the problem.


Has anyone else seen this ? Is there an explantion or an adjustment that I need to make?
