I see IGN mentions Power Pros 2008 is being released next month. All I had to read was that wii controls are still not in the main part of the game for me to say "pass". I don';t even play the other version. It may be the best 2d-feeling baseball game ever for all I know, but I couldn't get into it when I would rather swing a bat. MLB 2K8 has HORRIBLE flaws and still I play it and not power pros due to wii controls.

I agree with your statement. I was thinking about picking up MLB PP 2007 until it said that you couldn't swing the remote in the regular game. I was hoping the next version would have it. Sadly, I'll be passing on that version as well.

The whole concept of motion control is new to home video games. I guess it'll just take time to make some really great games that make use of the motion.

Yeah I am hoping soon it will happen though. I understand why it doesn't bother some to buy baseball games with traditional controls still becuase some people say they would rather relax than do a lot of movements. But this whole system is based on motions so its games should utilize them!

I thoroughly enjoyed MLB PP 07...i think it had more of that throwback appeal for me...felt like i was playing Bad News Baseball back on NES..

According to the trailer they added a bunch of stuff to this years version, so i'm definitely looking forward to grabbing this when it comes out on the 29th.

I could maybe get back into it becuase I did enjoy games like that also, but it's just hard to like sports games without motion controls for me now personally. Maybe I could be into one when I am tired and when I am active, I can do the motion controls one.
