Hi,

my next purchase to complete my 5.1 system is rear speakers, otherwise called bookshelf speakers ? di-pole, tri-pole ???

I have a Denon AVR-3808CI, RF-62 fronts, RC-52 centre. I dont have to get the rears from Klipsch, but i am not sure what power rating i should look for. My room is the square 15'x15'x10', and i would like to get some rears that are not too deep. any suggestions ? budget ~ 500$

Also, can rears be mounted on wall, ear height ? or do they have to be on stands ? I have side tables on either side of the 3 seater sofa, so i am lost where to place them ...

Thanks very much for you help !

DOn't worry about the power ratings, just about anything you buy wil be able to handle the minor peaks you use in a HT system I would recommend trying to stick with Klipsch in the same series you have but as you have said it is not necessary unless the timbre match being off will bother you, I know it did me.

Here is place to look for some suggestions on speaker placement

thanks. can you explain about "timbre match being off will bother you" does this mean if i use other rears than klipsch, there may be something not being matched that may bother me ?

so choosing rears with 75 W RMS is ok ?

Klipsch's horns are known to be on the bright side, if you pick rears that aren't Klipsch and your fronts are Klipsch... It will most probably sound unbalanced.
