I have been dealling with this very issure for some time now, and the consenses is that a dedicatided line it the best route, then a power center. My mistake was not getting the dedicated line when I built my house, and I have since blown a tweeter and a woofer in my speakers from popping in the electrical line. I hope you have better luck than I have.
I'm sorry but I don't know if I can help you much on that because I won't have anything to compare the performance to and I don't currently know of any "problems" I'm having w/ power. I was asking more from the standpoint of preventative measures.
If the 2600 isn't helping, I doubt the 3600 would do much better.
