Hi!


I am trying to get this setup to run hd-dvd with power dvd.


Asus p4p 800 deluxe

pentium 4 prescott 3,4 overclockeed to 4,08 ghz

ati x 1650 pro

xp pro sp 2

newest ati catalyst

newest anydvd.

Powerstrip newest build


Nothing else


And it works but stutters a lot. When have powerdvd stopped I enable hardware acceleration. But when I run a hd-dvd, and go into the configurations menu I can se that the hardware accelerations square is not cheked. How do I get powerdvd to use hardwareaccleration on hd-dvd? With dvd it is cheked.

I had the same experience, on a very similar setup

Depends on what codec the film is encoded in, although it states that ati x16xx supports vc-1 acceleration I have no acceleration whatsoever... arrgh... maybe in the future ?


Or go for the new HD2600 cards

You need a faster cpu as the hardware accel of this card is not working with powerdvd.

With the Core2duo 6400 and up, you will not have any similar issues..
