I have had the HR20-700 for about a month now. Lately I cannot turn it on with either the remote or the power on button on the front panel. The only way to turn it on is to reset it (the red button next to the card slot) or to unplug and replug it. It has become a pain. I called DTV Technical service and they told me there is a power up problem with HD DVR HR20. Customer Retention also refused to send out replacement unit because they are trying to fix the power up problem first. That is they don't want to send out a new unit that will have the same power up problem.


Do you have this power up problem as well? Is this widespread? I haven't read any power up problem in other threads yet regarding this HR20.

Happened to me last week unit would not turn on despite resets and moving from plug to plug. I removed it from my system and it turned on easliy the next day? I thought it was a fluke but may be more widespread then I knew.
