Hey everyone!


I have a problem with my PowerDVD 7.3 Version. When I start my blu-ray movies, it produces on my Samsung 32" LCD-TV on the left and right side black margins. Somehow, it is not the 16:9 format it should be.


Are any workarounds known? I already searched, but the only help was provided vor ATI graphic cards, as a matter of fact I use NVIDIA.

Yes, I already checked all PowerDVD options. In the ATI Thread is it desdribed as an issue of the registry, however I didn't find this entry, which might be based on different graphic card drivers.

Your Samsung TV sets and saves its Picture size settings separatly for each resolution received over each interface. So You need to try changing these settins when watching a BR Movie.

Also use the Info button on your Samsung remote to find out what resolution you are sending to it when watching BR movies.

Are you sure? Well I checked it with the Info-button and it kept the same, as before I started the BD movie: 1920x1080p @50Hz


However I tried to check all picture format settings of my TV it kept the same, always

I have no margins normaly or when I just play one stream file of the blu ray disc seperatetly, the margins happen only with PowerDVD 7.3 and only with a BD image.
