I have onboard audio with SPDIF out (fairly common CMI8738 chipset)

WinDVD7 plays fine and outputs DD/DTS to the receiver

PowerDVD4 used to play just fine and would output DD/DTS to the receiver without any problems.

Upgraded to PowerDVD7 - it would only send stereo PCM through the optical out and refuses to output DD/DTS.

In configuration mode, when I click on Information, says "SPDIF not detected"

In Audio submenu I put speaker environment to SPDIF, then when I click OK and then come back later to the Audio submenu, the program reverses speaker environment back to "2-speaker"

I have the latest onboard audio drivers, etc. Any ideas?
