I had posted earlier about hangs I'd get in the 2nd-to-last scene in Monsters, Inc. The work-around there is to select FullScreen rather than WideScreen. PowerDVD XP displays it 16:9 in either case on my display fortunately. This problem was attributed to Disney DVDs which endeavor to encode both 4:3 and 16:9 versions on the same side of the DVD.
But now I can't get around a hang at the transition from Scene 14 to Scene 15 in Road to Perdition. Running PowerDVD XP directly or thru PowerStrip gets the same hang. Running WinDVD directly doesn't have this issue.
Any ideas?
