Powerful Integrated Amplifier

2034 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  COmusic
Hi guys,

I'm looking for a good strong integrated amplifier. Could someone please recommend me a decent ones mainly use for 2 channel hifi music listening.

I'm currently lean on something like Sansui au 717 but unsure if it powerful enough for what I'm looking for.

I'm more like vintage receivers type of guy because is stronger and more powerful than most current receivers on market nowaday. I currently own couple vintage receivers and Amplifiers but still looking for a better and powerful than what I currently have. I'm currently using:

  • Sansui g-5500
  • Marantz amp 140 and Marantz preamp
  • Marantz 2440
  • Marantz MA 560
  • Fisher integrated amp 880

Running with these speakers:
Klipsch R-820F
Klipsch RF-3 ii
Klipsch kg 4.2
Energy Connoisseur C-9

Any inputs recommendation are highly appreciated.

Thanks,
ML

Add something like this to one of your existing integrated amps. Use the one that has and will retain the features you prefer.
It will add more "power"

So, do you want a receiver, integrated or separates ? Plenty of great options to choose from, your spikes are efficient so a lot of power is not needed

The solution are solved for now. I hooked up my Marantz sr-82 with a pair of Marantz mono amplifier ma500 that gives me 125 wpc for 2 channel hifi music listening. That's surely satisfied my ears and just like my nick name MusicLovers😊
That is a great solution. Those Marantz MA500 mono amps are gems and should be great for your speakers.

I still own a W4S STI-1000 integrated amp (10? yrs) and have nothing but good to say about it. It is ungodly powerful, has plenty of inputs, and outputs, and is dead silent when on. You do need very slightly warm loudspeakers in my estimation. With great speakers, the amp is highly resolving and has superb bass as well as other expected high-end attributes. Just my experience. Glad you thought of those MA500s.
