I currently play DVD's through my HTPC with the VGA out going directly to my Sim2 HT250 and pass through the NRS. When I play from a Pioneer DV-09 player I use the NRS in component mode. The more I read on the forum I see that I can gain higher resolution from the PC if setup correctly. I have no idea how to do this with Powerstrip or even if this is the correct approach. Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction to get started.

I currently have the below setup both HTPC and HT:

HTPC

P4, 2.6mhz, 512

Radeon 9700

Audigy 2

200gig HD

Hipix HD Card

Win 2000, SP4

Directx 9

Pioneer A05 DVD Burner

16x DVD Rom Drive

HT

Sim2 HT250 Projector

Faroudja NRS

Parsound AVC-2500

Larry,

Powerstrip is the right tool to use. However you will not gain much with the HT250 in the case of NTSC as the HT250 can only do 60Hz without tearing (48Hz which would be ideal for film based NTSC is not possible without tearing). What you can achieve is properly displaying PAL @ 50Hz. Download the newest version of Powertstrip from www.entechtaiwan.com and follow the instructions ;)

Regards

Christoph
