PowerStrip question

283 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Thomas J. Coyle
I have a jvc 48" wide screen ( AV-48wp74) It supports 480p,720p and 1080i and a ATI 9600xt with the cat 4.0.1. driver .I have been messing around with powerstrip and a couple of questions. When I plugged my tv into it under monitor info it said

image size 1070/600 mm

max resolution horizontal- 1600 vertical- 1200

max scan frezuency horizontal- 29 khz vertical-60 hz

Right now I'm running 1920/1080 (HDTV derived) 16:9 at 29 it looks fine except for acouple of things. The start menu bar is burried and the images in it are kinda blurry. when I open a folder or window the shape of it isnt square at all .

I have read the how - to guides over and over and getr even more confused with this program. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Come on guys, I know someone knows how to use this program.
footfukinmasta,

I have a Sony 51" rear projector and am using the Radeon 9600XT with the DVI component dongle. I am presently running Catalyst 4.6 because it allows one to run custom resolutions. In some cases you can reduce overscan and have an acceptable picture without using Powerstrip. I can run 1776 X 1000 using 1080i timing at 30Hz and get a very acceptable desktop on my 16:9 display. I suggest that you try Catalyst 4.6 or higher without Powerstrip to see if you can get an acceptable display. If you have to use Powerstrip, I suggest that you take a look at this thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...readid=206854.
