I have an Infocus X1 projector that only does one mode: 800x600 at 60hz. With that in mind, does powerstrip do anything that would be useful to me? I've seen a lot of people refer to using it (and listing it as a must-have app along with dvd/media players, dscaler and girder), but if you don't need some bizarre resolution for your display, are there any other functions that are useful? I feel like I may be missing the point.

People who use the X1 with a 16:9 screen will sometimes use it to set 800x450 as their permanent resolution. But for the most part, you're right, it isn't as useful with a projector that uses a standard resolution panel.
