Am I missing something... What is the point of showing us Directv Pay Per View listings in the program guide when they are all in 4 hour blocks with no show titles?

I was going to just remove them from my channel lineup, but thought I'd ask here first incase it's my lack of understanding.

Any ideas?

Well I think it is a step forward for them, Before they did not even have the channels listed at ALL so you had to flip between two remotes or whatever just to see them.

Also you could not even record them with out doing channel switchero thingy

I for one am glad to see that they added a basic feature of Tivo in my Replay as well...

Now as far as the four hour blocks. hmm that has to do with TMS not getting the PPV listings from Directv or whatever programing provider that you may have...

This was put in mostly (at this point) for the benefit of using the Manual Record feature. You can use Add/Remove Channels in Setup to remove them from your Channel Guide if you like, but you'll still be able to select that channel in Manual Record. So, if you wanted to record a PPV movie for later viewing, they'd be there, and you won't have to deal with going to the Advanced Options panel in Manual Record.

But this doesn't answer the fundamental question:

Why doesn't Replay have the listings for PPV, or any of the other PPV channels such as NFL Sunday Ticket?

I know even DTV doesn't show the Sunday Ticket listings until Saturday, but they could be in the Saturday night guide packet. And as for the movies, they are usually on for a week. Why aren't they part of the guide?

Bingo! BTW, Tivo has the same problem with the data not being available (or did the last time I checked). Except for the DirecTivo--that has all the guide data.

Y'all just have to dump DirectTV -- us digital cable subscribers get OUR ppv channels (including ESPN College, NBA, and NHL ppv) listed with full program descriptions... I believe the service they use is "iN Demand" ppv.

ciao
