CRT RP TV are much cheaper than RP DLP, LCD, and LCOS TVs. Is there really a big improvment in PQ when compared to CRT. Does the improvment warrent the great cost difference.

You probably have not gotten a response because you are obviously asking a question that only you are capable of answering.

Does this forum even have a FAQ? There's certainly nothing stickied.

It sounded like a legit question, to me... even if the answer is "you can't judge performance by the technology in use".

The comments trying to kill the thread are not because it is not

a legitimate question .. which it is.

They are because other threads discussing this exist and

have become, in addition to being voluminous, rather nasty in tone,

with claims of "if you don't like my favorite technology, you just

don't know what a good picture is".

Thanks, all, for the comments. That was exactly my point. The question is, of course, legitimate.

Asking the question 15 times and having the same thread degradation is less interesting.

Mark-

I'm afraid that this dynamic is becoming more prevalent around here lately, but thank you for articulating it. ;) ;) ;)

This just makes things a little less fun about the give and take.
