So I am in need of a pre-amplifier as I upgrade my system. I have Revel M126be and a Bryston 4B-ST amplifier on the way. But I havent decided on the pre-amp yet. Need something to pair well with the speakers and amp.

So far I need:
dual subwoofer outputs(i can split or chain if I the choice is "better")
12v trigger outputs
multiple analog inputs(4 minimum given current setup with phono and dac external)

Wants:
XLR inputs and outputs
display(for volume)

I currently run an external dac, nor is a pre-amp for phono. so a dac/phono in the system isnt a big concern. but ill probly get 1 or both.

My short list has become:
Emotiva XSP-1(gen2 only)
Parasound P6
Parasound P5(no display and cheaper than the others)
NAD C 165BEE

Votes on these option or other choices

Never heard the Emo. But the features look good. However I have heard the Parasound P-6 w/a Parasound A-21+ amp. Excellent preamp. Should go well w/the Bryston 4B SST. Is the Bryston a SST, SST2 or SST3?:)
The older ST, maybe in a few years ill upgrade to a SST*

Anthem STR Pre-amp. If it wasn't for the price point, one would already be in my system, ahead of Parasound, NAD and others. As it happens, my budget means I'm shortly to demo the NAD C 658 which, by most accounts, has pretty decent SQ but does have some teething problems with firmware updates (that isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me as NAD are, albeit slowly, working through the issues).

Whatever you get, happy listening!

Ended up grabbing the Emotiva XSP-1. So far I am very pleased with the new setup
