The price has been out in Korea for awhile now. Converted for USD, in Korea it is about $13-14K and $11-12K from the discounters. If the 78JS9500 does release for $14999 in the USA as rumored, without the $2000 off on day one, it would be one of the few times prices in the US where higher than overseas. If convert to US dollar is around
US$13453
Looks like it is $14,997.99 on Amazon now.Aaaand it's out (though not in stock) on Amazon, direct from Samsung. 15K as speculated/feared
Ok so back to searching for a good quality, future proof(ish) large panel for this year. Damn, Samsung, really?
$15K?! $23K?! They better throw in a Bose system with it... then I might consider.
Ridiculous prices.![]()
For the price of the 78” JS9500 you could get every single 2015 4K Vizio M-series 4K set they will make(80”, 70”, 65”, 60”, 55”, 50”, 49”, 43”), and still have a few thousand left over to buy whatever else you wanted.for the price of the 78JS9500, you can get TWO 65JS9500s & a 55" LG OLED and have money left over for lunch![]()
As much as I think $15k is vastly overpriced I would still rather have the 78" JS9500 than the entire lineup of Vizio M-Series.For the price of the 78” JS9500 you could get every single 2015 4K Vizio M-series 4K set they will make(80”, 70”, 65”, 60”, 55”, 50”, 49”, 43”), and still have a few thousand left over to buy whatever else you wanted.
