The HD channels are included in the digital cable tier. If you already have the digital tier, the only additional cost is 5.00 more a month for the HD box.

If you have expanded basic cable, then you'll need to upgrade to digital cable with the HD box.

If you upgrade to the HD box, can you still get the SD feeds as well?

I can't timeshift the HD feeds, but it'd be nice to be able to view them live when I happen to be around.

Actually you don't have to be part of the digital tier to take advantage of HDTV. I subscribe to limited basic (which is only local channels) and I was able to add on the HDTV, which is really only the box rental for $5 more a month.

The first CSR I talked to, told me that I needed the basic digital package. I then called back a few days later and talked to another CSR which checked a bit further and found that you can order HDTV without Digital package.
