If I were to buy a new TV, it would also need to function as a huge PC monitor. I was hoping the new Hitachi's would be my choice but the lack of true 1280x720p resolution has turned me off a bit.

From reading on these boards, am I safe to assume the PT-50LC13 is the best all around for price/performance for my PC monitor wants?

Anyone play any fast paced games on their PT-50LC13? Any ghosting or other anomalies I should know about?

TV Football look good on the panasonic? SD or HD?

Thanks in advanced.

Only if you exclude RP-CRT.

Others will debate the perfomance of LCD.

Yeah, however burn-in and the lack of native 720p is what turned me off on CRT's. Or are there some models out there that are 720p and cost less than the panasonic? (Haven't researched CRT's much lately)

I would say yes until Tweak or Jkuwic figure out how to get the Hitachi working with WinXP. I've got the 60V500 on order and am waiting for them to figure it out. If they never do, than I'll probably switch my order to the 60" Panny when it becomes available.

On a related note, I can't believe we haven't seen any responses from Sammy DLP owners. Maybe because you threw price into the equation.

I would say yes its the best all around when you consider price, connectivity options, and PQ. (note I got mine for $2,399). I've been playing a lot on Game Spy and battlefield 1942 looks great so does medal of honer! My PS2 looks good to connected via s-video.

One thing I haven't mentioned yet is, it is had to read the posts on this site with the pt-50lc13? Other web sites I can read just fine, go figure.

I have my HTPC connected via VGA.

Try changing the text and background color. The default yellow on blue might not be best for the set.

Ein,

Thanks for the suggestion, after the post I changed my DPI setting from normal to large (120) and that did the trick.

Just had Comcast HDTV installed last night, WOW........

Thanks
