I just got avopy of the latest TigerDirect PC catelog and noticed that they have the Princeton Graphics HDT-2000 HDTV receiver for $600 available.

Here's a link: ( The picture on the web is wrong but the catelog is correct):

Anyone know how the scaler in this unit is?

When bundled with their AR2.7 the price is $999.00 or with thier AR2.7AV it's 1139.00

BTW....When did Princeton release the STB? It's not even on their website.

Good question. Given that they only have a picture of the STB and nothing else I guess it is fairly recent release.

I'm curious to see if it also has a coax/optical digital output. The only write up I could find mentioned that it had 6 analog audio outputs for connection to your receiver.

Does anyone own a HDT-2000. If so, can you comment on the upconversion of standard NTSC channels and on the reception of ATSC channels. Also, does this receiver/scaler have separate aspect ratio controls to enable re-formatting of 4:3 programming to fill a 16:9 screen?

Thanks,

Andrew
