I'm finally a registered user! Has anyone seen or does anyone own the Pro Imager Vertical Masking Sysyem from Da-lite? I am mostly wondering how it looks cosmetically. I have only seen pictures which don't seem to help much in this regard. It looks as if the masking is gray in color and yet in the description it says the masking is black. If I get the Perm-Wall screen, will the masking system hide its ugly front snaps on the frame? And, ofcourse, does the masking system work well? Thanks in advance!

I guess no one has seen these. I went ahead and ordered one today anyway. If anyone is interested, I will tell you about it once it arrives.

I haven't gotten a final price yet but a friend of mine is a da-lite dealer so I'm trusting him. I'm certainly willing to do a review and post some pics once I get it set up. Hopefully, I will receive it by the end of next week. I probably won't have time so install until after labor day though. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif Stay tuned!

Lackey,

Sorry for not responding before today. I will try to answer the questions you raised concerning the Pro Imager Masking System. First, the masking fabric is most definitely black in color. The outside frame is also black. As a standard product the frame has a matte black powder coated finish. However, I would recommend going to the optional Pro-Trim finish. The Pro-Trim finish is a sort of fuzzy material that we apply to not only the frame but the masking fabric as well. The upcharge to do this is minimal and definitely worth the extra $. Last, to address your question about hiding the snaps on the Perm-wall screen, yes indeed the frame does hide the snaps. If you are right on top of the screen (I mean nose to the screen) looking at an angle you can still see the snaps but from a normal viewing distance you cannot.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
