Have had my Panasonic PT-50LC13 for two weeks now (connected to Comcast Digital Cable with HDTV option using DCT-5100 with component cables).

In general, the HDTV shows have been great (especially football) and I have not seen any of the artifacts described in these forums...until watching Las Vegas last night. There was a very bad shimmering in some scenes (like someone waving a screen in front of parts of the scene). Especially noticeable on men's suits. Did anybody else notice this? Is this due to HDTV being sensitive to patterns in the suit fabric? I did not notice this during football games, but football uniforms don't have patterns.

It was so bad I had to switch to watching the show via the SD tuner.

It's a bad 1080p to 1080i conversion ... it was discussed on HDTV Programming forum. Basically the studio did a very bad job transfering to 1080i. I also have Panny and saw the same thing... Other people with other TV's saw the same thing as well..
