I think there's something wrong with my new projector. Before I contact customer support, or exchange it for another one, I just wanted to see if anyone knows what the issue is.
I don't believe it's "rainbow effect", as I never saw anything like this with my friend's Benq W1070.
I can make myself see the rainbow effect if I pause something with white lines on a black background and move my eyes very quickly back and forth, but I don't see it during movies.
On top of that, others I've watched content with have noticed the exact same issue.
What's that issue? A flash of color randomly. It seems to be mostly green, with maybe a little red. It happens very quickly but it's noticeable and others have seen it. At first, I was concerned about my HDMI cable run. Even though it's a very thick cable (High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet - 26AWG CL2 (In-Wall) 3D Ready), it's a 50' run.
I got a powered HDMI splitter that has a signal boost and it's still doing it. Anyway, I'm guessing that an issue with an HDMI cable wouldn't look so "analog" anyway, and would likely involve the signal cutting out as it's a digital transference.
Any idea what it could be? Is it just a faulty projector?
