I have a 2 year old VP-12S1. Recently, a narrow vertical stripe appeared on the left side of the image. It occupies about 5% of the total image, and goes all the way from top to bottom.
The stripe is mostly white, but changes colors constantly. Its location doesn't change regardless of input (even happens with the focus grid), aspect ratio, etc. It's always in the same physical location on the screen.
The unit was purchased in Japan and is hence out of warranty. Any suggestions, or is it time to ship it back to Japan for repairs?
