Just picked up this Quadscan that I am using with an NEC XG-135. Works fine, great pix, but when I am using the composite input off my VCR and I go to change channels, the projector loses sync, and 'seeks' the input signal for about 10 seconds before locking onto the signal again.

Anything I can do here? I have not changed out the Sony VCR yet, but all I have to replace it is a similar vintage different model Sony..

Thanks!

Curt,

Not sure what vintage of Quadscan you have but the loss of sync was one of the "bug bears" of that model. Several revisions of software managed to improve it.

Can you check what revision yours is running. It may be you can have it updated to make ti stay sync'd or lock on faster.

Update from Curt:

The problem wasn't the quadscan or projector. It was the VCR. When changing channels the VCR would blank the signal momentarily. The projector would lose sync without the signal.

Curt does this mean that you are going to keep the 135 and Quadscan as your own watcher?
