I set up a few theme channels and none are full yet but it missed recording last night and I was wondering if you have to go scan for shows every so often.... or something?


It missed 4 episodes so far....

As pointed out on many an occasion, Theme Channels do not guarantee recording. If you wish a (nearly) foolproof guaranteed recording, then you should use show based channels, or one-time guaranteed recordings.

How do I setup a show based channel? I thought thats what I had setup but maybe I dont... Had my replay for a total of 2 weeks now.

To set up a Show based recording, use your channel guide to select a listed show, press Select, fill in your desired recording criteria. Show based has highest priority over theme-based, etc.

Use the Theme Channel that you created to find all shows.

Then select one show and define the recording properties as described in the last message.Confirm all shows now have the red circles indicating they will be recorded.
