problems with Boston Ota

I was getting Boston ota wbz, and wcvb. I installed a rotator and lost wbz. I gained wmur(manchester) and gained a better signal on whdh (but not viewable all the time). Are these signals deteriorated because of the recent storm, with a heavy ice on the trees? I have a cm 4228, with 775 amp, and rotator The antenna is 25 feet off the ground. Will it help to raise it another 10 feet? What are my other options to fix this living 60 miles north of Boston in New Hampshire? I also have a Sony Hd 200// Help.

I am in a similar boat as you. I am trying to get HDTV OTA working in the first place. I finally had some success today. Here's what I did.

I have lots of tall trees (~70') in the yard i nthe direction I need to go. If you have a clearing in the direction you need to point, getting much higher won't help. I suggest maybe another 10'. The biggest thing I did was get a different antenna I had the 4228 and it didn't work out. I then got the 4248 and with my mast at 46' pointing through LOTS of trees, I could get PBS and ABC from Boston. At 36', nothing worked. I dare not go any higher by myself, so I am waiting for some friends to see how high I need to get.

So, in summary, try going higher first, but if that doesn't work, then try the 4248 with the additional height.

Good luck.
