Problems with DVI 2x1 Switch

I purchased a DVI 2x1 switch from DVI Gear http://www2.dvigear.com/dvi2x1switcher.html . Connected on the input side is my HTPC & my Bell ExpressVu 9200 Sat Receiver which is the Dish Network 942, outputting to my projector. When ever I switch away from my 9200 to the HTPC and back again nothing is displayed except a small window at the bottom of the screen "DVI-Searching". The only way I have found to restore the signal is to go into the setup screen of the 9200 & change the HD settings from 720p to 1080i then back again to 720p and that seems to allow it to do a handshake again with the PJ and I get a picture. I have tried switching the inputs ports my two sources plug into on the switch but that does not make a difference. Switching does not affect the HTPC, it reacquires signal as soon as I switch back. Powering off the 9200 or the PJ does not cause the problem it is only when I switch the DVI switcher the problem shows up. Since the HTPC switches fine no matter which of the two inputs it is plugged into I am not sure if the problem is with the 9200 or the DVI switcher.


Anyone out there with similar issues and possible solutions?
