Hi All

just built a new Win7 Media Center PC. I'm using a mac mini with bootcamp and Win7. All works great apart from the infernal 550. This works brillaintly with 6 other devices, but it just won't work properly with Windows Media Center. (I did turn off the Mac's IR sensor)

Several of the buttons will send the command twice (I see the IR Rxer light flash once and then half a second later again). The two worst ones it ahppens on are dir left and back.

I bought a microsoft Media Center remote that has the USB IR receiver, which works perfectly.

I've tried "Micorosft -> Windows Media Center" and "Microsoft -> Windows Media Center SE" devices from the Logitech database. I have been into "Troubleshooting -> Device responds to some commands either too many times or only occasionally" and set the value down to zero. Still the same thing. (I also tried 1 and 2 for good measure).

I have learned the IR commands from original remote in normal and RAW mode.

I also replaced the remote with one from another room.

Still the same.

I'd go out and buy a higher-end harmony if it would fix it, but there's no guarantee of that and it doesn't make any sense. Why would it only happen on a few functions, and even when I learn from original remote?

Anyone got any ideas/suggestions?

It's driving me mad and I've wasted a tom of time on it.

Regards

Mark

I have this problem with the hulu desktop application and my harmony 890. Strangely windows 7 media center works fine, only hulu has issues with too many key presses being received. This is not a common problem, so a complete refresh of my remote activities and devices might fix it.

I will try setting up my remote again from scratch and see if that fixes the problem.
