I am looking for processors which take a 5.1 dolby/DTS digital stream or

analog dolby surround or analog stereo, process it and then output

digital multi-channel output on multiple stereo spdifs. At the

moment I only need the front *processed* stereo pair L/R on

an spdif, but it would be nice to have sub/center and surround_left/

surround_right on two more spdifs.

The processors I know of at the moment are:

Meridian 561

MSB MDP-3X MULTIPLE DIGITAL PROCESSOR

The meridian is $5K, and the MSB is 1K (but needs a few other

"boxes" which bump the price)

Does anyone know of other processors with digital outputs?

Thanks,

Andrew

Plan A is to use the analog outputs of the processor for

everything but the front L/R - for the fronts I have a

Levinson 390S - there is no analong preamp

in my stereo system. Getting the volume correlated

between the 390S and the processor is up

for grabs at the moment (it would be handy

to have a processor which had a serial port

on it...)
