Does anyone know if there is a way to program the duration of a signal from the Pronto TSU3000? I am wondering if I will be able to use this remote to control the AR of an electric screen.

It looks like you can use NEOhacker to alter the duration of transmitted codes on the Philips Pronto NEO TSU500 and Marantz RC3200. See this thread and this other thread at Remote Central.
Not quite the same thing as a "hold down" of unspecified duration, but these remotes are somewhat less expensive than the TSU3000.
